Casey graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Studies from the School of Arts and Architecture. He has completed 192 units including General Education requirements and is committed to pursuing a career in Architecture.
A graduate of Palm Valley College Prep school, the premier college preparatory high school of the Coachella Valley, Casey enjoyed a 4.3 GPA; starred in four plays; won the acclaimed Lyons Club Award; excelled in computer science; wrote, directed and filmed 8 short films; and was bestowed the "student who exemplified the four cornerstones of the school; character, communication, community, and college prep." Casey now wishes to enhance others lives by creating environments and developing skills to compliment his father's 25 year career by becoming the firm's architect of record.
Son of renowned two-time ASID President Jeffrey Jones Casey grew up on his father's lap at job sites. Casey and his father founded and incorporated "Jones Interior Design Inc" and jeffreyjonesinteriordesign.com where Casey is a full partner, shareholder and principal designer. His aptitude for working with computers afforded him the ability to learn drafting and rendering programs in a very short time. From creating three dimensional drawings to conceptual architecture, he has developed a unique set of tools including websites for clients and sales materials for developers.
To date Casey has completed 12 houses, the most recent was awarded 1st place for the Best Residence over 7000 sq. ft. The residence also won two other awards by the Palm Springs chapter of the ASID. The project site is available here.
Casey has also recently been featured in the October issue of Palm Springs Life's "40 Under 40" promoting the deserts next generation of leaders. His interview is as well as the featured article can be viewed here.
Casey has interfaced with all trades and has direct experience as an on site designer which has landed him a favorable reputation by builders, sub-contractors and clients alike (references available upon request). His body of work includes full color 3D walk throughs, structural details, One-of-a-kind Custom Furniture, Audio/Video, sustainable humanistic landscape design and sculptural elements, color options and more.
Well traveled from all over western Europe, Casey is currently working on projects in New York, Indonesia and Hawaii. He has just completed a month long internship in Bali working as a graphic designer and sales representative for Bali Alternative Media, an advertising agency for high end hotel and retail clients. As a student member of the ASID Casey had the opportunity to enter into a student design competition to conceptualize a magazine cafe. The project was focused on blurring the line between consuming digital and physical media in a cafe environment. Casey received a scholarship to The NABA New School Architecture summer program in Milan, Italy after having been selected as a finalist in the competition for his Koi Cafe concept.
